The growing season is 60-70 days. Average height 25-40 cm. Average weight - up to 1 kg. Used for salads, vinaigrette, soups, beetroot, cold appetizers and main dishes - stewed in butter and fat, like spinach. Petioles are boiled in salted water and fried with breadcrumbs in oil. Petioles can be pickled as cucumbers (slicing and pasting them in size into jars vertically). ************************************************************************************************************************************************ Instructions sow thinly April-July, where they are to crop, 2.5cm (1") deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Allow 40cm (16") between rows. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin seedlings to 15cm (6") apart. Water well until plants are established. Regularly pick a few leaves and stems at a time, without stripping the plants, allowing them to continue growing. Harvest: July-November.
