Chervil is a good alternative to parsley, which is hard to grow from seeds in the winter. Chervil - one of the easiest to grow herbs. It grows quickly and is ready for harvesting in just 18 days for microgreens, 35-40 days for children's leaves, and on a 56-65 day full-sized plant grows with a long period of collecting the extreme leaves. Use Chervil to flavor meat, fish, eggs, and light sauces. It complements scrambled eggs, cream cheese and herb sandwiches, salads and even mashed potatoes. Used as a green, like parsley. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin seedlings to 20cm (8") apart. Water well until plants are established. For a continuous supply, make sowings at two to three-week intervals. Or to grow indoors all year round, sow thinly 0.5cm (¼") deep, in small pots of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20°C (60-68°F) is ideal.
